Wrapping up for Winter Wonderland

So it is that time of year again! Winter Wonderland is here! Mulled wine all round, although I am still not listening  to Christmas music - it's not December just yet!

Even though we are nearing the end of November, it's been unusually mild. I didn't wrap up too warm, although did wear my new Joules scarf and waffle textures Zara coat. Scarf could quite literally pass for a blanket - but I love it.

I wore a cropped long sleeve grey marl top from Missguided and paired them with metallic pumps, also Missguided! High waisted jeans are Topshop - and so comfortable. Accessories are Michael Kors (watch) and Primark (necklace)

Here is my new baby! Michael Kors, eat your heart out. This is so perfect for every event. I. Love. This. Handbag.

Here's another Joules purchase - a 100% wool fedora with real feathers. The real and non-dyed feathers really add to the piece.

LFW SS15 Street Style

George Styler SS15 Tuesday 16th September 2014

George Styler was the second show I went to see at the Freemasons Hall.

It was excellently eclectic - with what can only be described as a guest appearance from some Egyptian rent boys!

I felt the fabrics and structure looked as though it could have been inspired by 3D printers and the late 90's.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. There was a brilliant atmosphere to it and I would love to attend another George Styler show!

Vin + Omi SS15 Monday 15th Sept 2014

This year I was fortunate enough to be invited to a few shows at London Fashion Week.

Here are a few of the pieces shown at the Cumberland Hotel

If I were to describe the collection in one word - BIG!
Big hair
Big texture
Big colour
Big shapes

But it was amazing and it worked - definitely stretching the boundaries out.

I am fortunate enough for the oppurtunity to attend two shows, on the Monday and the Tuesday.

The shows are for the fantastic George Styler and Vin + Omi.

Saturday is Patternday!!

I am a huge lover of monochrome, yet get drawn in by some beautiful patterns.
Every Saturday I am going to try and share my favourite pattern that week. Because Saturday is Patternday!!

Keeping with the Kimono, here is one from Zara, with a lovely pattern involving many colours and flowers and birds.
Although it is bright, I think it works due to the very plain background, a sort of off cream.

The tassels add movement to the piece also, although I am not a big fan of tassels!!
Check back for more, and thanks so far!

Traditional Kimono, Carrie Bradshaw wannabe!

On a recent holiday to Florida, I had a bit of a Carrie Bradshaw moment and purchased a traditional Japanese Kimono - and I am in love!!

The colours and patterns are absolutely beautiful and the gold thread through the pink flowers is such a special touch.

I was fascinated to find out that you must alway wear your kimono left over right else it signifies death, good to know!

I am yet to wear it to a gallery, but watch this space!!

Here's my outfit for going out with the girls. The top and trousers are both from Missguided and the shoes and bag are from Zara. I love the bag as it is such a bold block colour with such a statement written on it. Perfect for every occasion! Got to love Zara
